Stebel Nautilus Compact Motorcycle Air Horn – Loud – Chrome Review
I know I will get other people’s attention. This Bay-B is loud. I was really sick and tired of people not paying attention to my Roadrunner Factory Horn, Beep Beep. They would just ignore me like I wasn’t there and just keep coming over. First time out, Baadaam Bing Baadaam Boom. They knew I was there. It will be a LIFE SAVER. Thanks Stebel.

Fit perfectly on my virago with stock brace I just had to leave out rubber bushing. Alot louder than factory horns all bikes should have horns this loud. Turns heads and chases deer out of the road.

This horn is very loud. It will get you noticed and maybe save you from an accident. It mounted very easily on my ’05 Suzuki C-90 using the stock horn mounting bracket. The chrome is a nice added touch. If you’re looking for a loud horn that is easy to install, this is it!

I LOVE IT! I live in an area that ‘progress’ has ruined and there are WAY too many distracted people out there in cars/trucks, so a LOUD horn on a motorcycle is a MUST. After finding a good place to mount the horn it was easy and very quick. This little horn is SO loud it scares me when I have to use it. I no longer ‘toot’ my horn to say “hi or bye” to someone. Just the other night, I was riding home after dark and a car was heading toward me, drifting over into my lane (head on isn’t good on a bike). I tapped my horn and apparently it woke up the guy in the car because he jerked his wheel and went off his side of the road with two wheels. Glad he didn’t over correct, but glad I don’t have to rely on the stock weenie horn anymore to keep me safe.

I added this horn to my new touring motorcycle in addition to the factory horn. The manufacturer advertises 139 dB for this product, but if you go to the manufacturer’s site and search the fine print, it was measured at 4 inches. Normally, audio products are measured at a distance of 1 meter, not 4 inches. If you measure this horn at the canonical 1 meter, it is @ 120 dB. 10dB difference is perceived by the human ear as being 2X as loud. 20dB difference would be perceived by the human ear as being 4X as loud. The difference between 139dB and 120dB would be perceived @ 4X as loud, but in this case, it is @ 4X quieter than what was advertised using standard measuring techniques. My factory horn is a lower frequency than the 2 higher frequencies in this horn, so the combination made a 3 tone horn. The combination of the factory and aftermarket horn makes a notable difference from the stock, but not what I figured I would get by the 139 dB claims.
